- Keep Your Head up.
- Keep eyes forward head level, neck to be relaxed
- Swing one arm forward until fully extended, as if reaching for a handshake. Meanwhile, drive in the opposite arm back past the hip, pushing back on the pole until it’s fully extended behind you.
- Don’t grip the handles too tightly
- As your right pole and shoulder swing forward, your right foot and hip drive backward.
- Learn Forward very slightly from your ankles
- Poles land in line with your opposite heel, angled forward at 45 degrees. Be sure to use rubber tips on payment or asphalt.
- Front foot lands heel first. Push off of the toes of your back foot.
